# recipes

These are **fragments** unless a full file/root is explicitly shown. Append them to the relevant existing map/node rather than replacing unrelated configuration. Validate registry items, effects, references and intended class access on a staging server.

## Fire capture and Fire move damage

```yaml
effects:
  - key: pixelmon.capture_power.fire
    operation: multiply_final
    values: [1.10, 1.20]
  - key: pixelmon.move_damage.fire
    operation: multiply_final
    values: [1.05, 1.10]
```

Set the parent node `max-rank: 2` and two rank costs. Rank two gives 20% final capture-power bonus and 10% Fire-move damage bonus, subject to other contributions and gameplay caps. These are not a flat 20-percentage-point capture chance and not bonuses to every move a Fire Pokemon knows.

## Readable permission perk

```yaml
effects:
  - key: server.permission
    operation: unlock
    values: [1]
    filters:
      permission: example.feature.use
      provider: native
      display: Unlocks access to the Research Laboratory
```

Native requires the target feature to query StellarSkills/API permissions. For an external provider, change to `provider: commands` and configure tested grant/revoke commands:

```yaml
filters:
  permission: example.feature.use
  provider: commands
  grant_command: lp user {uuid} permission set {permission} true
  revoke_command: lp user {uuid} permission unset {permission}
  display: Unlocks access to the Research Laboratory
```

This assumes your server actually has a working `lp` command. Do not promise compatibility with every hybrid/plugin setup. Avoid permissions independently granted elsewhere, because revocation may remove that same provider node.

## 10% bonus item on first generated dungeon chest

```yaml
effects:
  - key: minecraft.loot_table_item_chance
    operation: add_flat
    values: [0.10]
    filters:
      item: minecraft:diamond
      min_count: '1'
      max_count: '1'
      loot_table: minecraft:chests/simple_dungeon
      display: '10% chance for a bonus diamond in a newly generated dungeon chest'
```

It applies at initial loot-table generation by a player, not every reopening. A pre-filled/previously generated chest does not trigger it. Use a real registry item. Pixelmon ball/potion **icon aliases** cannot be assumed to construct data-component rewards; a Master Ball variant needs a genuinely registered item or a data-aware reward integration.

## Faster fossil revival and improved results

```yaml
effects:
  - {key: pixelmon.fossil_revival_speed, operation: multiply_final, values: [1.50]}
  - {key: pixelmon.fossil_result_level, operation: add_flat, values: [5]}
  - {key: pixelmon.fossil_iv_min_total, operation: set_min, values: [100]}
  - {key: pixelmon.fossil_shiny_chance, operation: add_percent_points, values: [1]}
```

Speed requires the skilled player near the relevant machine. IV total is bounded by the six-stat maximum 186; individual stats cannot exceed 31. Result hooks rely on the machine/player ownership association; test multiplayer shared machines.

## Mint and Zygarde perks

```yaml
effects:
  - {key: pixelmon.mint_yield, operation: multiply_final, values: [1.50]}
  - key: pixelmon.mint_growth_speed
    operation: multiply_final
    values: [1.50]
    filters: {radius: '8', dimension: minecraft:overworld}
  - {key: pixelmon.zygarde_cell_bonus_chance, operation: add_percent_points, values: [10]}
  - {key: pixelmon.zygarde_cell_detection_range, operation: set_min, values: [24]}
```

Mint growth uses bounded nearby growth attempts, not a global replacement of crop ticking. Cell bonus occurs on supported collection; detection only sees loaded cells. These perks do not create arbitrary new cell spawn schedules.

## Distinct raid specialization

```yaml
effects:
  - {key: pixelmon.tera_raid_damage, operation: multiply_final, values: [1.10]}
  - {key: pixelmon.tera_raid_damage_taken, operation: multiply_final, values: [0.95]}
  - {key: pixelmon.tera_raid_reward_rolls, operation: add_flat, values: [0.25]}
```

Fractional extra rolls use a chance for an additional roll rather than giving one quarter of an item. These are Tera-specific; use the separate Dynamax keys for Dynamax.

## Server-side movement and mining

```yaml
effects:
  - {key: minecraft.movement_speed, operation: multiply_final, values: [1.05, 1.10]}
  - {key: minecraft.mining_speed, operation: multiply_final, values: [1.10, 1.20]}
```

These are movement/mining modifiers, not granting a permanent potion bottle or client movement cheat. Test region protections and anti-cheat. Do not put `min_count` or potion duration parameters on attribute effects.

## Dream, crate, and Safari progression

```yaml
effects:
  - key: stellardreams.capture_xp
    operation: add_flat
    values: [25]
    filters: {dream_id: oneiric_skylands}
  - key: stellarcrates.open_xp
    operation: add_flat
    values: [10]
    filters: {crate_id: legendary}
  - key: safari.duration_multiplier
    operation: multiply_final
    values: [1.25]
    filters: {zone_id: verdant_reserve}
```

Replace dream/crate/zone IDs with actual definitions. Install compatible producer mods. These do not change Crates' reward pool or bypass Safari's validation/economy authority.

## Two selections with Fire/Water exclusion

Use the complete [effect-choice example](file:///4985688/configuration/effect-choices.md). Do not put Fire and Water in the same `choice_id`: that would create one bundle granting both, not two competing options.

## Quest-only skill-point economy

Use XP rewards in `objectives.yml`, disable undesired automatic XP tasks, keep `legacy-direct-point-sources: false`, remove direct Journey/skill currency rewards, and set class starting grants to the intended amount. Set level-point rewards and review total points obtainable at the maximum level before sizing your tree.
